Safe Journey

During August and September the super generation of monarch butterflies slowly and silently depart Eighty Acres. They travel over 3000 miles to winter in the Sierra Madre mountains in Mexico. Next spring their journey north will begin once again. The monarchs will wing their way back to Eighty Acres where they will flutter on the cone flowers and reproduce their next generation on milkweed plants. The Earth Mother plans for them to stay only a short time on Eighty Acres, but while they are here their beauty will grace the land and bring a smile to my face. Safe journey my friend. I await your return.
