On a hilltop near the corner of Eighty Acres, the evening sunset silhouettes the nearby city industrial park. Each year the slow and steady march of progress moves closer to Eighty Acres. I really have no idea what the future will hold for Eighty Acres, but for now, I will be thankful for my time on the land. I will be diligent and continue to care for the land's prairie flowers, plant trees for the next generation and share this space with all the wildlife that make Eighty Acres their home. Each day I will walk with the Earth Mother and capture the land's many stories and lessons. Hopefully by doing so, this land will not be forgotten in the future.
